When i first got my lancer i was the only person i knew with one, now they are every where. My friend is thinking about getting a Ralliart just to be quicker than mine (there really are not that many 4cyl that can beat me around here) My question i know the Ralliart is 40+ hp than an OZ but with the mods i have what kind of chance do i have beating him?

If all you have is the RRM intake and an exhaust, you'll get spanked, your sitting at maybe 126 HP at the crank. Plus the ralliart has the mivec which is a definite advantage.

Stage 1 turbo kit would help you beat him...

N/A will require a lot of stuff. CAI, Header, Exhaust, piggyback, throttle body/IM upgrades...then maybe higher compression pistons or cam work or something.

 

so what kind of beating am i looking at when i race him? Like really embarassing or just a normal beating? Also are there any aspects in which the OZ is superior to a Ralliart? (ie acceleration, top speed, handling, MPG, etc)

As stated before you would have to completely rework the engine NA to compete with the ralliart.

I am fairly modifed and I run 16.4 in the 1/4. The stock ralliart is already a second faster which I think should be good for about 3-4 car lengths.

Has anyone considered putting the ralliart engine into the OZ, i think that be a kool upgrade for the lancer oz, then again i might me wrong bc of the money involed

 

to much work and to much money better to put in an rrm turbo and be done with it...

Just sell your OZ and buy an EVO then race him.
