then it wouldnt be so amazing IMO....if i wanted a highly displaced engine, or higher i would go wit ha sti. even tho they are comporable to evo in speed, the evo does it with less displacement (.5 ltr i believe)......mitsu would be getting away form the heart of the evo if they put a bigger engine in. its all in the boost IMO (alhto im no authority).

I don't think you have a chance beating the Ralliart with mods. If you go turbo with your OZ, RRM now makes a turbo for the RA...now your're losing again.

I want to see someone put a MIVEC engine in the evo. 2.4L turbo AWD...Hell yeah!
Evo IX turbo MIVEC

An 04/05 OZ (complete w/ fart can) was attempting to mess with me on the freeway the other night. While I have no idea if the driver knew how to drive, it wasn't pretty.

p.s. Don't street race...

I am the guy who started this post, and i raced the guy with the RA and i beat him by about 3/4 of a car length. This guy does not a tuner or a driver he knew nothing about shift patterns. The only reason he got the car was to have a car better than mine. I beat the driver not the car. I drove the car and he should have stomped my a**.

Anyway he has the had the car for 2 weeks and pulled out in front of a Ford Ranger and totaled it out. TOO BAD!

I am thinking about going to the salvage yard and get some parts off of it, I am going to start a new post to see what will fit and what will not.

Never race a ralliart !!!out of your league unless you got mods but i woudnt consider that fair play cuz ur going to be racing it stock. But the bright side about the oz is getting turbo compared with the ralliart you would be getting a better compression ratio (if it were to have turbo also) so i would say N/A vs N/A It would eat you alive turbo vs turbo u have a chance at beating it!

i raced a ralliart before going turbo, i was ahead of him until his topend took mine. i would say it's all in driver too! i hit above 115mph(like 125mph) in my OZ before turbo, but it took a hella of a long time to get up there though!!!

Technically, every race it a drivers race, but 30 ft/lbs of torque and lower gearing move some sheet metal quicker.

It was kinda funny watching the Ralliart pass me by though cause I knew the next time he wouldn't be so lucky.(plus i had my turbo kit waiting for install at home )

a lot of people seem to think their lancers are slow, but I have had no problem against protoge, civic, prelude, integra etc (maybe all the ricers here cant drive)... but then again, my buddy had a ralliart, and the real advantage was on the highway and in the curves

from 0-60, I would actually keep up with him. he would be 1/2 carlength ahead of me by the time we got to 100kph, and then he gained carlengths on me very quickly after that. the mivec, hp and especially the gearing gives the ralliart a huge advantage against other cars on the highway! it's an absolute blast

lancers are faster than a lot of cars, but their weakness (lack of hp and gearing) really rears its ugly head when you're on the highway... I still manage to take protoges/echos on the highway but it's more neck-and-neck than from a stop.

but generally speaking, with two equal drivers, one in ES/LS/OZ and one in RA... the RA should annihilate the regular lancer... but again, the driver and other factors (oil change, condition of filter, TIRES etc) make a huge diffference in any race.

but it is definitely a good feeling to race an RA and be beside it up to 100kph, then your heart sinks when he rips you a new one :P
