did you disconnect the battery? if you did then you reset the ecu, just drive it for a little while and it should be fine.

try again, disconnect-leave for @ 1 hr, reconnect- this is a lot cheaper than a new mass air---

if that doesnt work, then you might have to get a new mas. they are pretty pricey too. from a dealership they'll run a couple hundred $, but if your look at a junkyard for a fair one, you could probably get it for about $20-30. hopefully you dont need a new one though. good luck

When your car is running, tap on the top of the MAS. While this is not a definitive test, if the car dies, you may have a bad MAS.

well i did the battery disconnect for a little over an hour. It started off running nice at a little over 1000 then i let it run for about 20 min on idle and when i came back to the car the bastard was back at 600-700. Is that normal after running for a while or should it stay up around 1000. if it is my mas could this cause serious damage if it isnt' fixed?

will a 4g63 MAS work? i found one on ebay for like 7 bucks

Normal idle is 750 +/- 50 RPMs tho. Try to adjust the BISS screw if all else fails.

After a few days of watching the digital readout on my SAFC, I can say that normal idle seems to be 700 for me. But every car is a little different.

when im idling at a stop light or something. it will sound like its almost going to stahl out though. alot of times i keep my foot on the gas a little to get the rpms up to about 1ooo.

idle

what happens when you turn the a/c on? you may have issues with the iacv (idle air control valve)

Maybe do what AirQuez said - there's a screw on your TB that controls air flow. Maybe have the dealership check it?
