Mirage Header and Downpipe

Will the Mirage Header and downpipe fit on a 2003 lancer oz. i want to cut a few corners and save money and to get an aftermarket header and downpipe for a mirage is much more reasonable priced then one for our cars. if anyone has any ideas please let me know thanks.

it will but it will be a bit short.... If I'm not mistaken, you can just stack a few gaskets between the header and the dp.

The downpipe would probably give you trouble since the 4G94 is taller than the 4G93.

EDIT: I snooze, I lose.

Incidentally, want to buy a Mirage header cheap? I have an extra.

You could probably just get/make a spacer for the header/DP connection to make it work out.

the mirage header/dp will fit a lancer, but there is an 02 sensor bung in the dp not the header.

No basically you just want to go to a muffler shop for 40 bucks and get a O2 Bung welded into the header and have them cover the old one. I have a Mirage header I did it and it works great. Secondly You dont nesasarilly want to change the length of the O2 sensor wire as that will change the resistance of the wire which in turn will cause your "Check engine" lite on. So DONT CUT THAT WIRE trust me....

you should just save an extra however much money and buy the kamikaze black temp coated header/dp. you can get it from ptuning.com for 259 shipped, i think thats what i paid. good luck on your decision.

It depends upon the brand header nad how it is setup. the 4G94 block is taller and the sump pan slightly different. Normally most headers will foul on either the engine block or sump pan as well as teh flex pipe fitment will definitly not bolt up as there is a funny bend in the stock setup which has to be replicated.

they will fit, either lengthen the o2 sensor or have a bung welded higher so the o2 sensor will reach, and close up the bung on the dp.
