so I guess NO-ONE has a weapon-r intake on the forums??? that's kinda funny.

 

i have heard nothing but bad things about weapon-r, i was going to get one but i heard of several people having trouble. for example the filter malfunctioned and sucked water,dirt, (alll that bad stuf) or the piping broke... just what i heard im not gettin one, but thanks for the info

OK here the story on Weapon R. See I smashed the front end of my ES (auto) when a drunk driver decided it would be funny to slam on his brakes and then into reverse at 30 mph . The damage was minimal (thats why I have a Lancer) . The Stock air box and scoop were destroyed . it looked like if you broke the scoop off and then torn the front cover off the filter then broke that in half and put it back on. Needless to say my car ran better than it ever had . I sounded like barry white was in my engine bay . I needed to fix this seeing as how I live in California and it is real hot. I installed a weapon R cold air box. Now the WR air box was crap. it was aluminum and was pretty poor. The SRI yes that is what it was, the Sri was fine the tube was a little um bland for lack of a better word. but the filter oh christ that was a piece of **** . Dragons are mythical beasts of legend who are strong. well in reality our Dragon intake was foam cup with leprasy.*spelled way wrong* well when I put that ****er on the car roared like I just butt ****ed Barry in the *** . then silence, then Roar. that son of a ***** shut off. plugged by the filter wich ate itself. I am stubborn and don't care to return stuff. I tossed out our dragon and bought A K&N. now the SOB is rumblin like a mountain falling. but after a week the the rumbling turned into a dragster ESPN low volume, noise. I removed it and put my stock broken crappy thing back on . It is better than any SRI I have tried. The stock **** is powerful, hands down Injen is the closest to it. Just buy a K&N filter and BREAK YOUR ****!!!! you won't be sorry unnless you turn on your AC.
