It can be done with Evo 4+ but not Eclipse.

 

ok as an expeirenced person in this feild i will just give you a price guide line (avereage) and most of the parts you will need in order to do the evo swapp. I my self am going along the lines of doing it without being noticed hear on the boards so that when im done (if ever completed) i can surprise every one just as i did with my flare body .......

EVO MOTOR (does not include trans) = $4k-$8 k depending on condition, milage and all the other good stuff

3rd Gen. Eclipse Trans- prices vary depending on how and where you find it

stage 10 shift kit (for Automatics & for durability also)- $1200

Wiring Harness and re routing - arround 800

custom built IC & intake pipes - once again peding on where u find some one that will do it, may i add price also equals quality (lower probably = ****ier)

custom exhuast and downpipe=Same as above^

motor mounts and trans mounts= some where arround 500-700

++++NOT TO MENTION YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED UPGRADED AXLES ++++

ALSO WITH THE PUNCH OF THE PEDAL YOU WILL NEED WAY BETTER GRIP THEN THOSE STOCK DUNLOPS OR THOSE KUHMO'S THAT CAME WITH YOUR WHEEL AND TIRE PACKAGE (possibility for slicks even)

you gotta remember the evo motor was built to be put in a 3600lbs car or higher and have 4wd not a 2600lb car with front wheel drive

theres plenty more i could probably add to this list and cost but im not fully thinkin right now i just thought id give you a reasonable outlook at prices and what you will need.

also i would add that i did a A/T to M/T swapp in a civic let me tell you THAT IS COMPLETE HELL he constantly had problems and for you looking into gettin that done at a shop id say you would spend atleast 2 grand on just that plus buying the new interior peices.

so over all with the evo swap and mt swapp your looking at arround 15k+ if u get it done at a shop

ok then lets say forget i said nething bout evo or eclipse swap.....is there ne motor than swap into the lancer with least amount of trouble or trouble that can b solved.....the price to swap it is priceless i have 2 buddies who r highly into this one who a dsm pro and another whos civic teg genius....so not worry bout prices all i wanna do is convert auto to manual and swap engines...those r the roads im tryin to go down...
