A MIVEC what? There are 4 or 5 MIVEC motors that I can think of off the top of my head, and some are a lot more probably than others for a swap...assuming that's what you're intending to do.

I am tempted to help, but by helping, would that defeat the purpose of having a search feature?

You'll have to do your own price searching. The most direct swap would probably be the 4g92. Never sold in the US. The second probably the Ralliart 4g69. After that you're effectively making things FAR more difficult by getting into the Evo IX 4g63 MIVEC (when it's released here), the FTO 6g12, and there may be one or two others I'm forgetting...but that just means the difficulty would probably be far worse. Anyway, searches work wonders. The two most suitable motors I mentioned have been discussed to death, and the Miragers might be able to offer more info in the way of 4g92 swaps.

OT: but are you not suppose to use "why" since you already used the word hence in your sentence.

Anyways, we're not honda, we can't just swap engine like that.

According to Rpw, the 6a12 and 6a13 are pretty much bolt-on swap. Until we really see(with pics) that people are actually trying to swap engines we will never know the possibilities. Everybody says this, everybody says that, but nobody tried it or at least... nobody proved us they tried, so nobody has a clue what's possible and what's not(other than the obvious impossible).

Less than a year ago... When people were talking Turbo, only RRM was gonna work. Every other options were stupid and impossible to achieve on a regular budget. Few months later... TSI kit came out and people are making custom turbo setup without any major issues. Same thing will happen with engine swaps. It will be considered impossible until somebody actually puts R&D into it and proves it to be possible or impossible. And just like any other major modification, obviously an engine swap has to be somewhat worth it on the $/time/power/reliability/safety scale.

Everything is impossible, until we know how.

btw... sorry if I sound harsh, but I'm just tired of seeing all those repetitive threads.

Since I "rudely" closed his first thread, I'll leave this open. If I close this too, I'm sure it'll just be another flame war.

Have fun, kiddos.

The 92 would be much easier if there is a transversely mounted version. Getting your hands on one with all the required accessories would be the difficult part.

EDIT: Nevermind. Your car's automatic so you'd have to swap transmissions, ECU's and a host of other stuff. I still don't understand the fascination with engine swaps, but hey...why apply reason when dealing with automotive tuning?

You are a rude bastard , and I love it.

Just read through Jotun's blown engine thread, good information in there.

The 4G92 is offered in our trims, but it is so rare, almost like the Holy Grail.
