Engine part Identification

What is that part of the engine that is circled in the picture below? I also noticed its on the OZ only not the LS or ES...

hmmm, cuz i was comparing my engine bay to Charle's Engine bay... mine had that part with the "gold hat" on it and his lancer didnt...

Charles more than likely has an ES meaning no cruise control. That "hat" is what holds the butterfly open when you're running on CC.

Ahhh... i didnt think of that, my OZ is an automatic and Charles' (ES/LS) is a manual... so that's most likely what pjal said it was. Thx bud!
