Mechanical o2 seems to work w/ RRM header!
LOL Alchemist or Boe should be in this thread soon to set all of you guys straight, but since they haven'et yet, I suppose I'll have to. The only thing that the second O2 sensor does is (from what I've gained but could be wrong) is check if the first cat. is working. When you remove the first catalytic converter, the second O2 sensor picks up on it and your CEL goes on. The first O2 Sensor reads the air/fuel ratio and adjusts accordingly for the ecu and is responsible for your engine running rich/lean and properly. It's widely functional. The second O2 sensor sees if everything is or isn't okay. Which is why you will or won't get a cel. Pulling it out with the antifoulers like the evo guys did has no negative affects, as the second O2 sensor has no effect on anything major in your car. Hobie told me a while ago before he fixed his CEL that his car ran better with the CEL off, but it wouldn't have been anything major. That is why people can remove the second O2 sensor and put there wideband in the same spot if they really wish too, because the second O2 sensor serves much less purpose than the first. You get a lot more.... whatever the second o2 sensor detects coming in with the first cat removed so you must pull it out so that it reads "whatever" in the correct parameters.
Ahh... I know it will do that when you reset the ECU. But i didnt have that problem. After you reset the ECU, let the car idle for about 10 min, then take an easy test drive. I dont beleive the car completely learns untill around 70 miles, as that is how long it took for my CEL to come on after installing the RRM header(w/ out the cel fix)

Just give it some time, it will go away. If it does it after 100 miles... dunno know what to tell you, but it will do it untill the ECU learns/adjust everything.
