precautions...be carefull is skin irritant and when you put part in is also going to put out gasses that you dont need to breath and try not to get it in your eyes.ok acid bath....you will need a suitable plastic container large enough for the part and to be covered with liquid.second clean as much grease off of part as you can the acid will not eat that away.3rd attach a wire to part to remove it when done, soak part in muratic acid( available at home depot in the pool chemical area or lawn and garden area)let the part soak for ahalf hour and pull it out check to see if youve gotten desired results repeate as necessarry.throughly rince parts with water being carefull not to breathe fumes or get it on skin.you also should dry the part asap. pour old acid back into the origional containers and despose of properly at a waste facility(our city has a place for paint and chemicals at the city dump)the acid is pretty mild and dose not store well after being used so dont think you can keep it around for 6 months and do it again youll just have to buy more is fairlly cheel ,about $8.00 a gallon and please rember to be carefull with it as it is an acid.

ok. so im on my 3rd coat of paint on the exhaust mani and it is still baking off. i'm using 1500 degree engine enamel i'm so sick of ripping this thing out to paint it with better stuff. do you guys have any suggestions other than powder coating? i'm not looking to make my work into a masterpiece but just something nicer than a brushed steel.
