I think at one point RRM considered it. Not sure what happened to it, maybe they figured that the cost would be too high and only truly dedicated people would be interested.

hmmm, I would love to seen an rrm sheet metal intake manifold. RRM pressed right ontop of the chamber, sweeett!

A sheet metal manifold made by RRM would be sweet, but it is probably cheaper for them and easier to just port the stock ones and offer an exchange system, that way, in theory, they would never run out of manifolds, and wouldn't require the building of a whole new product.

I know it would be cheaper. I would do a core exhange with my stock one so that they can fund the other IM.

I was thinking, would a manifold like this, but with bigger runners and stuff flow any better than ours since the air goes straight into the runners and into the head rather than having to go into the plenum chamber then go straight down into the runners? I don't know anything about airflow, but it just seems to me that the air would flow easier this way rather than making such a sudden change of direction. This is from Diavlo's car before the swap. Also, was this an aftermarket manifold already?

I think I'll contact diavlo. It just seems to me that it would be a better manifold with bigger runners and stuff. And shouldn't be too hard to make.

On a design like that, I'd defenetly heat-wrap the thing though... That kind of tubing is usually way thinner than our stock Intake Manifold and will be more easily affected by engine-bay temp.

the only thing with that IM would be if the pipes are unequal you'd have unequal pressure thoughout the cylinders. Kind of like an exhaust. The reason for a plenum is to equalize the pressure throughout all cylinders.

Would having the runners equal length solve that?

Yeah, that's what he was getting at (I assume).

That thing looks like a header that's been modified! Crazyness!

That's one crazy looking manifold. I personally like the magnus one from rpw.

having them all equal lenghts would solve it... however more bends in different runners would could a problem with cylinder intake pressures. If the IM was more like a header (TB on top instead of side) it would work without a plenum rather well.
