sheet metal intake mani?

just wondering if it is at a possibilty for someone (cough rrm) to make something like this for the 4g94? ive seen plenty for the evo but none for us... i think this is a very nice looking peice and im sure the weight reduction and gains would be worth the money for us na guys and the FI guys im sure would feel SICK gains. so whats holding this up? are we lancer owners to cheap? is their no demand because of the cost? just wondering what u guys think and possibly what rrm says....

magnus goes for like 400? and rpw is close to 1k? now i do know about supply and demand, but they wont sell much stateside at a price like that. ever wonder why RRM doesnt make a lot of stuff over $500? cus no matter how many people are on the im interested list, only a few will ever cough up the money to do so

i think it was closer to 800USD i think the 1k was AUD... anyways... its still expensive specially when you add in a nice big TB to fit it. But you ahve to pay to play w/ the good stuff... if RRM comes in w/ one cheaper and just as nice id be down, so long as we can get the nice big TB from them as well

I think it's a great idea. ONLY if it would be cheaper than RPW's new IM. Note that theirs is not made out of sheet metal.

I'm bringing this back from the super dead cause I was thinking about this earlier today. If this was made for us, would it be as simple as the plenum and runners with a flange? Or would we need to have all thos nipples and holes for things to attach to, as well as the thing that attaches to the side of it close to the bottom?

You guys are definately right. In the past I considered rpw's intake manifold but stepped away because of the price. If I knew I could get one for 700 with an tb it would be my next mod.

Well I'm interested in what all nipples and holes would need to be on the manifold from the stock one because RRM sells the manifold flange for $79. I could take that and see what I could get made at this welding place near my apartment. I'm curious to see what I could make and for what price. Anyone know if I made one, would I just put nozzles in the same spots they are on on the stock mani?

There is a guy in the Evo community who was making an Intake Manifold a while back. Maybe you could contact him and benefit from his experience.

There ya go:
