Performance chip

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a performance chip available for the US Lancer. I haven't seen any discussions on this, I know I'm new and maybe this was discussed before. I've heard that when it comes to imports, the computer has to be pulled and sent to a place like JET to be reprogrammed. Such a hassle, that can take 7-10 days.

No, on my old car, JET reprogrammed the ECU, and it was back in my car in on the third day. They send the ECU back overnight, at least they used to (check to see if that is still the case). If you take the ECU out yourself and send it in the morning overnight to JET, you can have it back pretty quick.

To tell you the truth though, it is better to have your ECU tuned at the place that is reprogramming your car. They cn do a much better job than by just sending in your ECU and telling them what you have on the car. Good luck with your search.

Thanx for the insight! I guess I'll cruise down to my local dyno shop and talk with them about it.
