4G64 for $1000
Here in maine theres a book called uncle henrys that is a sellers/buyers book. There is a 4g64 engine from an older galant vr-4 for $1000. I got thinking, why spend so much money on turbo and what not to install on a 4g94 and why buy a brand new really expensive 4g64 to swap out (I believe thats whats in an evo/noobish of me) enstead of just getting an older one? other then the miles of course.......... Any opinions on using an older 4g64?
The GVR4 has a DSM G63T (early years, latter years in JPN has the 6a13). Otherwise, it's a plain 4g64 or NA 4G63; depending on the year, it will face the wrong way. I do believe post-99 galants face the right way.
In America, small displacement 6 bangers don't sell, because it lacks severe TQ. Imagine a 350 motor w/ peaky HP and low TQ off the line . . . will American buyers want it? Nope.

Ok, I search and found this https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...64+engine+swap seeing as it's 3 am and I'm dead tired, I'll let you red it.
It's an old thread, very confusing. Past posters probably need to revise/edit their info.
Amongst the 4g mirage, 2-3 owners have done it, not G63/64T hybrids.
Amongst the 5g owner, ONLY 1 existed in the US. Yes, LB has answered in the other thread.
