^^ hahaha so true. maybe just retitle it as MISFIRE? then drop all of the other nonsense out so it's just a simple diagnostic help sheet with others input following. that way people actually read the part it was stickied for.

I have the same problem,, several times, i've replaced the wires, both coils 2 & 4, and all the plugs.. still have a problem.. any suggestions ??? Fuel injector ?????please help..

he probably has bosh platinum+4 for "extra power"
ngk is the right plug, most others will cause a misfire

Quick question, I am running brand new NGK V-power plugs and wires. My coil packs are in great condition. I am having a misfire if I put my car in park or neutral and hold the RPM's at a SPECIFIC point close to 2k RPM's. Car runs A Ok otherwise even though it is throwing a lean code for some unknown reason.

Are there any sites online where I can purchase sone new boots for my coil packs? The nearest Mitsu dealer is 40 miles away since they closed the one down by me.

Do you mean spark plug wires? Or the boots on the actual coilpacks?

hi i got a 03 lancer es and it doesn't have any horse power and i want to go faster than 110mph but when i first got the car it did 130 to 140

Lol, two questions.

1. Why would you ever want to go more than 110 mph?

2. Why are you revving your engine in park/neutral?

Stop doing that, there's nothing good that can come of it. It's a shame to see idiots like this blow up perfectly good cars and risk killing themselves.

Its lugging under 2000 rpm because the engine isn't making enough power at those engine speeds and your clutch is dragging it down while you try to floor the gas. Feather the throttle down low and wait til you get to about 3500 to get it all the way down. Its not a misfire, just driving technique.
