I own a Lancer GLS 2001 4-door sedan (MT) and unfortunately here in the Philippines, it only comes with a 16-valve 1.6liter SOHC engine. Unlike the US Lancer. I'm looking to change my lousy engine. Which is much better, The 4G63 engine or The 6A12 (24-valve 2.0liter DOHC MIVEC) engine? Can you guys help me out please. Thanks.

 

I dont think you know much about the two engines. As you can see the US Lancer 4g94 even thought it's a 2.0liter engine our engine has more power. The Lancer GLS has 125hp@6500rpm! it also has 4-1 headers design, aggresively profiled camshaft and hyperperformance computer box. Our lancer's here are made for sport while in the US it's made for economy. In what part of Manila do you live in?
