extending o2 wires?
whos done this? what method/wiring did you use? ive heard theres actually enough wiring but i cant see how... anyone care to shed somemore light on this subject.
I haven't done it, but I have extended other wires, including the injector wires when I installed different clips. Just find a matching gauge wire, cut, strip, solder, seal. Same as extending any other wire really.

alright i used some nice wire i found at cc roadshop )work there) and i ran it... it should be fine right? and one other thing... if i had my 02 sensor disconnected for a couple miles is this ok?? or will i die a horrible death?
what do you need to extend it to, did you get the mirage headers? there should be enough wire, it runs through that plastic shield stuff from the firewall to the manifold. if you remove it and run it striaght down (next to the IM) then there should be enough wire for it to fit.

theres two 02 wires right guys? one on the header and one back on the cat converter right? im talking about the one on the header or stock manifold)
but i heard about flipping th cat whats up with that... i have the rpw race header and flex pipe. my bung is althe way right before the cat on the tail end of my flex pipe...

The sensor as it comes from the factory is before the 2nd cat and after the warmup cat in the manifold.
Since the First O2 sensor takes a reading before the warmup cat and the second takes it after, they get different AFR ratings. If you remove the warmup cat by adding a header then they'll invariably get AFR ratings that are the same or very close, triggering your CEL. By flipping the cat and putting the 2nd O2 sensor AFTER the cat you ensure that the readings will not be the same. Similarly soldering resistors inline with the 2nd sensor will provide similar results. That help?

I did it. Very easy. Cut the wire, slip some shrink tubing on, solder new wire, apply tubing. Repeat.
PS - it's really easy if you go under the carpet and unplug the 2nd O2 sensor (There's a plug near the console). Then you can bring that portion of the harness in the house and do it inside.
