Lancer Pre Turbo
What do you mean pre Turbo it? Do you mean what do you do to prep the block and head and all that good stuff? Because I'd recommend that you atleast clean out all the bores and install new forged pistons, replace all rod/main bearings and have the block crack tested and line honed. Also have the crank looked at for cracks and proper tolerances. As for the head...fresh 3 angle valve job, dual wound springs with titanium retainers and the ARP 4G63 stud kit. You'll also need a better clutch/exhaust combination. There are a lot of things you need to do to install a turbo. If you are set on doing it yourself, there are so many good books out there detailing designing and installing turbo systems. Check them out:

(this book is the best I've ever read on turbos)
Also I can't remember what company it was, but there is a really good new turbo kit out for the 2G non-turbo Eclipses, it was at SEMA. There's a lot involved in turbos, you don't just slap them on...my best advice is do it right and you'll have performance as well as reliability.

Ok well I have a lancer so I know nothing is cracked in the engine. I'm worried about the crank but I know the compression is where it should be for turboing my block as for the head I was thinking of just polishing it because I was planning on using the RPW kit for 10 PSI of boost which says it requires no actual engine mods anyway. I also know clutchmasters has the clutch I need but; I can't seem to find a new flywheel. I was also looking at exhausts but like everyone else I can't seem to find a cat back. The cold air seemed available. I was wondering whether or not I should get the APEXi S-AFC and the AVC-R though. ANy thoughts on that and I'm not doing this myself by the way.
Ohhh...my bad..for some strange reason I thought you had an Eclipse, must have been thinking of a 4G63 or something. (I was half asleep!) I'd be wary of no engine mods with 10psi boost...You'll probably need an awesome frontmount on that beast, and a lot more fuel. The APEXi S-AFC is probably a good idea with an aftermarket turbo and that much boost. You may need bigger injectors or atleast to retune your fuel curve for the best performance.

It gives good info on that part...
ACT may make clutches that fit the 4G94 too, email them to find out...Other than that sounds good...good luck!

The injectors are part of the kit. I talked to one of the distributors of the kit and he said I'd get a 70 HP gain from the Kit. Still insists that no engine mods are needed. Someone was also telling me that there were 4g93s running 14 PSI of boost on factory bottom end but because this stupid engine is overbored from the 1.8 block I know I'm gonna have trouble with the fuel ratios and crap coming from the CPU. Hopefully this with a good front mount intercooler EVO VII hood the RMR intake and Exhaust and my lil Lancer will be pushin 210
. I'm still at a loss for suspension mods though.

Some cool stuff. Finally parts we can buy without going to the dealer.
Intake is simple but cheap. It might not be best performer out there but, probably could use same filter and adapter for a turbo later.
