How hard is it to installmotor mounts?

I finally did it, after all the racing, all the times ive been hard on the car over the past 4 years, i finally managed to break the stock motor mounts.

(RRM will be receiving a call soon)

anyway, so in order to perhaps save me some cash on install, i was checking the "how to" fourms and saw nothing on how to install motor mounts

How hard is this? Or should i just pony up the dough and get em professionally installed and be safe?

Front one is easy. Rear one takes some work though. When you come down we can show you how.

if you are installing the rear mount an extra hand might be helpful when the new one goes back in....also, be prepared to mess up your knuckles a little bit.

ha, awesome, yeah having someone there showing me how to do it would be the ultimate plus.

as far as messing up my knuckles, AWESOME, cuts, bruises, sore backs, sweat, blood.... these are all the things that make working on a car awesome

Handmemyarms - you can also visit Deyeme Racing.com to get motor mounts. You'll save some money too. I did the front one in about 30 minutes, however i still have the rear mount in my apt.

Deyeme Racing is a company devoted to Neons. BUT they do sell the Lancer motor mounts at a great price. Just look for them.

Their website says their online store is down till 5/31/06 - looks like we have to wait till June to check them out on their site.

Dumb thought - pick up a phone and see if they'll sell you something?

I should hope so.

I just hate the "OMG, the site is down, I have no way to contact them!" attitude some people have. Doesn't everyone have a cell phone nowadays? I used to call RRM whenever I wanted. I didn't wait for an email back...

[end rant]
