the thrid gear in the AT tops out i think around 105mph. first gear is around 35, second is about 65. never reached the top speed in fourth i think the auto lancer has very good accleration between 40-70mph because of the second gear. with my intake, and catback, my AT OZ really gets a power surge at about 4000 rpms, and pulls quite well up to 105 mph in third.

on the contrary, Ntran99 had his boost at 8 psi and the tranny seemed to hold up fine racing a supercharged mustang, his motor blew before his tranny did, i think the auto tranny has some good potential... though it is pricey should you blow the torque converter.

With my RRM Short Ram, Test Pipe, 2 1/4 in exhaust and Magnaflow Muffler I get great mid to high range power starting at 3500 rpm. I raced a stock Auto OZ on I-40 and steadily kept pulling away up to 120MPH and still had a little pedal left. I'm looking for something to help low end power, maybe some headers.

hmm, you are gonna need VERY strong internals, and a VERY strong tranny... lets say you are running 200 at the crank with the turbo, then you toss in a 50 shot of nos, which is what? 50 hp? but i am thinking that the 50 shot will be magnified by the fact that it is now boosted, so say like 70hp... so you are prolly looking at making a 120hp motor push out 250-280hp, over twice what its meant for while, and we dont know what else exists that is a weak point with that much stress put on the motor. also, how strong are the cylinder walls on the 4g94? as it is already a bored out 4g93, i believe. that may be another concern.

What you're going to need is FUEL and LOTS of it. Fuel first, internals later. If you can keep from running lean your pistons will do much better under higher pressure.

Last time I was talking with Rob, I got the impression that that's about what a stock manual Lancer makes as well.

i believe the stock manual lancer is 103, according to buschur racing (look hobie, i spelt it right, i think!). when i raced a manual oz with the same mods (intake, axleback) i lost by just about a car length i believe, maybe a little less. and we were getting up to speeds of about 70-75 mph when we ran out of track and had to stop. but.... i am the fastest NA AT OZ in the west!!! aint that right ghostrider, lol.

haha... i think someone is gonna have to have a race if i go over there or vice versa, lol. but the stock auto only puts 90whp out? hmm... so that means a turbo kit at about 5-6psi would DOUBLE my horsepower, damn... want to donate to a very good cause?

I'm confused about this. If a stock AT Lancer puts 90 hp to the wheels how is 5-6psi going to double your horsepower. Everything I've read rates the HP/PSI at around 7-10. That translates to 35-60 hp after boosting. That's not double. Did I miss something?
