Pics of OBX header and Downpipe installed...

Here's a couple pics pf my OBX header that was installed about three weeks ago, nothing but good things to say about it so far, sounds sweet, looks sweet, not a leak to be found yet anyway, and other than taking the old stuff off which was a complete pain in the butt (I just got choked at banging my knuckles so I hacked it off with a sawsall), the install took all of 30 mins.. And it was 275$ CAN with the downpipe and gaskets right to my door....

The old stuff......

The new header.....

Close-up of the header.....

And of course the downpipe.......

^ +1 I dont remember any problems but mostly complaints about poor design. No 02 bung or something like that.

The problems to OBX pertain to the header that was previously advertised for the lancer actually just being hte mirage header, and not fitting properly. This issue has been resolved since they designed a new header for the 4g94.

Thanks, I always knew you were the King!! To answer your question, low end, maybe a little bit less zip now, but top end, and this is only based on my "seat of the pants" Dyno run, but it is improved quite a bit, 3rd and 4th gear haul, pulls hard all the way to red line and it feels real nice, sounds not too bad as well, but the improvment is a cause of my cat-back, and CAI now being able to perform as they always should have but couldn't due to the stock manifold and down pipe, also the removal of the cats doesn't hurt either... Only issue is the engine light popping on every once in a while, which is fixed I'm told with an adapter from RRM for the before car o2 sensor?? Not a big deal with an OBD II scanner in my glove compartement, the code is wiped almost as fast as it appears.... But like I said, for a header, down pipe, and all three gaskets needed delivered to my door for such a good price, who can complain, espescially with the fitment of it so nice, went on like butter...

Oh and one more thing, the o2 sensor on the header is put in a wierd spot, it's down a little low, so you either have to reroute the wires to get it to barely plug in, like I did the day of the install, or you can just lengthen the wires so that it reaches without problem, like I did two days ago....... PEACE

congrats on the install i ve been waiting for a review bout thse headers might buy it.. off topic here but.. from what i read here if u dunt have much on ur car ( intake, pulley for ex ) it's not worth putting exhaust bc of the low end loss. It may sound stupid but if i were to change my stock cat to high flow cats and put a muffler will it be better since i aint got much on the car or that a stupid idea??? like to hear opinions

Nothing leaking, I can just tell you that as a welder who has quite frequently worked with stainless and know's how tough it is, the welds are very well done at every joint, the flange is perfectly sized and it all bolts together like butter, like I said before the only issue's I have had to date are with the removal of the old stuff being tough, having to lengthen the wires on the front O2 sensor, and the CEL that shows up every so often.. All in all I am very pleased with how it looks, sounds, and performs...

maybe i might be buying it, i previously owned rrm header and i would like to compare it, RRM's header was pretty good, i felt pull after 3200 rpm, but now i sold the rrm header and installed ported 4g93 IM,
