Yeah we pretty much just get drunk and **** our cousins down here, we don't understand your fancy laws. But seriously, do they have like road blocks or "toll booth" type places that they check for this on a daily basis? Or something more along the lines of VET? Luckily, since we live in the Ohio Valley and everything is so polluted we look like the Oblongs, we don't even have VET anymore! Yay pollution!

That wasn't an attack on your state. ****, I'm from Ohio.

It was commentary on how you're advising him on CA laws. And yes, they've been known to actually have road blocks and stop imports just to "pop the hood". Flat out, California does not **** around.

88 counties in Ohio, 11 have E-check. Why do I live in one of them? *sob*

^^^ yeah, no doubt, E-check blows. At least now we don't have to pay for it. I am moving to Florida next week, thank God, no inspections.

This is why I miss Arkansas. No emissions. No vehicle inspections. Although they could pull you over and "inspect" your vehicle. I was only pulled over once in Arkansas for loud exhaust, and I told the cop that I was fixing it tomorrow (true) and he let me go. Although this was six years ago, but I don't think it has changed.

See, making it free just pissed me off. It shows to me that Ohio does not take it seriously. But they sure as f**k have to throw the sniffer on my car every two years.
All the trucks throwing up black smoke get a free pass, but if my little 2.5L motor runs with a header, I can't get my license plates renewed? How fair is that?

^^^thats why Florida got rid of vehicle inspections. They found out that only 6% of cars failed and were'nt generating enough polution to justify burdening Florida drivers with the check. Wish we had their Governor

they should bring it back though, some of the cars driving around florida are terrible, and pretty unsafe. For example, i saw a truck with a log bolted to the front because the bumper had fell off.

Hell yeah there's already two too many Bush's running around.

And damn CA sounds weak if they seriously have road blocks for dumb kids that want more air.

Ohio's eCheck is complete BS
why are only 7 of the 88 counties tested? and why are they ALL in NE Ohio for that matter?
I thought they were going to get rid of it
glad I moved to Nevada where you can give the smog check guys here $20 to pass your car cuz they are still independent from the state

*EDIT*
after i posted this I left a complaint on the Ohio eCheck website:

eCheck in Ohio is a joke. Everyone knows that air pollution in NE Ohio comes from all the factories and that if cars were the problem the city of Columbus would be worse pollution-wise than the city of Cleveland due to the higher population. However, the city of Columbus doesn't have the number of factories that the city of Cleveland does and the air is cleaner. Pure coincidence, I think not, considering that the city of Columbus has more cars on the road than the city of Cleveland does. I just felt this should be brought to someone's attention so that tax money could be better spent on things like reducing the state's debt.

sad thing is they just don't care...

^^^The reason Columbus doesn't have it is because thats where all the politicians live. There is your coincidence. Hey Jeb Bush is the one that got rid of the vehicle inspection in Fla. Taxin Taft over Jeb, come on, Taft has Ohio in ruins financialy. Anyway enough politics lets all stay friendly, no politics, no religion, just Lancers.

Of the 88 counties, 7 have smog levels high enough to warrant it. I'd assume it's the proximity to Cleveland. It's literally Cuyahoga (Cleveland is in that one) and the counties that surround it (see picture). Between all the cars, trucks (no eCheck for them!), buses and (most of all) factories, we're just the unlucky ones. I just wish I had some property in the next county over that I could register my cars to...

No doubt, I've wanted that property myself, alot of the guys at my job live south of the effected counties, ba5tards, I've always been jealous. I live in the southern most effected county, rotten luck.
