K&N wins in my book for the price. Can't go wrong with a company that is trusted by street tuners to pros. If you want to go with the Dragon intake then fine. I'm sure it's a nice product but it's not K&N... didn't they invent the reuseable intake, or at least perfect it?
In the future when you have your heart set on a product, and don't want to hear every opinion, then just search and ask those who have it in PM. You'll get a totally biased opinion in that way, get your product and continue to live in the fantasy world where other's opinions don't matter.

not to flame, but there have been hundreds, probably thousands of thread on intakes and air filters. i'm not quite sure what you're looking to get out of this (since you didn't really specify) - looks? performance? longevity? cheapest on the market? i'd start by searching there and if you still can't find the info after that, then ask more specifically here.
that said - if you're looking for performance almost all SRI's are going to give the exact same results from your engine, which sadly won't be much. i wouldn't buy any non-brand name filters because most of them WILL rust. overall AEM probably has the best rep here, but it won't be the cheapest. however it will look clean, run well and last. weapon-r has some wild looking stuff but won't last as long. obx is cheaper still but doesn't look as good. i could go on for days here, but i'll let you try out the search engine for that.
oh, and i'd be more respectful to the mods. you don't want to get banned right from the get go.

Wow, that was a pretty smart *** comment towards a mod. You might want to do a little research first and figure out how to word your questions. Sounds like the question you meant to ask was, "Does anyone have the weapon r intake filter? and if so, do they have a review of it." But in reality you asked for a better-than-ebay filter and for any suggestions on filters. Everyone suggested K&N pretty flat out, obviously thats the favorite in this community. Usually the fact that there aren't any reviews about it is a sign. K&N has many reviews, all good. OBX and Bomz off of ebay have many bad reviews. Use your head and go with whats obvious.
i'll work on being a bit more P.C.

As for the filter the only thing that seems to be bad is the oil.. which the weapon-r doesn't look like it has (or may the article doesn't say ) . will that effect the long term use of the filter.
or a better question to ask which is beter all around dry/oiled?

AEM makes a dry filter and they are pretty reputable and reasonably priced. Dry filter maker will say dry is better, oil filter manufacturer will say oil is better. I have AEM dry filter so I don't have to bother with the cleaning kit and easier to maintain and if AEM was willing to put thier name on it so it must be pretty good. That was a few months ago and no problems
K&N is the leader in the whole filter biz. I bought my intake from RRM simply because it came with a K&N filter. They last forever. All you have to do is clean and re-grease them every so often. I wouldnt even mess with anything else.
With a greaseless filter you really have to worry about rain. I drive around all summer long with my hoods vent open and the intake sitting right in the vent (evo style hood). No problems hydrolocking with lotta grease.

just an FYI - foam filters, while not needing to be oiled, don't last anywhere near as long as other filters. in fact i've heard they can fall apart in some pretty nasty ways. i'll see if i can dig up the comparison chart for you.
The AEM filter is not foam. Its a synthetic material. almost like cotton but better I am guessing. I dont know it I would even trust the hks foam filters, let alone the weapon r.
I like these forums, they're really helpful. I've decided to skip the new intake all together and just go for a drop-in until the typhoon is approved for 2006 Lancers. K&N seems to have a reputation for good, reliable filters around these forums, looks like that's what it's gonna be.
The AEM dry filter is a polyester mesh that is already water resistant because of the material it is made from. You can also by a hydro shield (cover) for it, like I did, which was made by injen. Also, according to AEM's testing, it is more efficient than K&N because K&N actualy need to get a little dirty in order to more effectively filter the air, that is partly what the oil, not grease, is for. I've had both, K&N the most though, and I am really happy with the dry filter because I don't have to do anything to it for it to work, but K&N is good too for sure.

it comes pre-oiled
as far as wet/dry and searching a few sites (long stories short)
dry good @ filtering out the smallest filters, but less air flow.
.
oiled cotten good @ air flow, not as good as filtering (to a point.) also the oil can become a mess if handed wrong (but how hard can it really be)
