AEM on a 2002 OZ Rally???? PLEASE HELP!
I need to know guys... There is a 22-436P AEM Short Ram Intake I have purchased.... I am worried because the peeps said that it would fit my lancer. When I got home, it says this is for 2003-2005 ralliart, and it is for a 2.4 liter, while mine is a 2.0. If I fit this on... Will it HURT my Engine...??? OR SHOULD I EVEN TRY AND PUT IT ON???? PLEASE HELP ME. I have SEARCHED but could not find an answer to this. SO PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO SEARCH. THANKS

there wasn't a ralliart in 2003 AFAIK... i am pretty sure that they arrived in 2003, but they were technically 2004 models.
http://www.aempower.com/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=171 this is the intake you should have. it will fit a 2002 and 2003 lancer.
the product number you provided looks like it IS for the ralliart, and not the OZ, or regular lancer. all the pages i found when i googled the product number said that the intake was for the 2.4L. the deal with these AEM intakes is that you buy a CAI and i guess you just don't install all the tubing and you fashion a SRI. this is just what i have heard, and i am not %100 on it. i fashioned my own SRI from a filter, MAF adapter, and the stock pipe.
you ought to try to get it on... without damaging or modifying it. if you can get it on: sweet! if not... just take it back and tell them that they must have not heard you when you said 2002 lancer, and not ralliart.

Thats what Im thinkin... They DO sell an INJEN Shortie... Which Id like. But If I can make this work I'd like too... Its just this is my ONLY Vehicle and I DO NOT want to F$CK the Engine up. What difference in the Air Fuel Ratio between the 2.4 Miveck and the 2.0 that I have??? I mean thats what Im mainly worried about. The INJEN is built Specifically for mine. Thats the only reason Im worried.

keep in mind that there are no real differences between these and the chrome pipe ebay intakes, really... you shouldn't run into problems so long as your MAF sensor is installed properly.
i originally wanted an injen intake... but i said screw it to $211 and some change (the best price i could find). sure i'd get some speed stickers and a license plate frame... but i just couldn't justify that kind of cash. i ended up getting a $35 ebay intake. a few weeks after purchasing it i converted it to my own style of SRI using the stock pipe that went to my airbox.
for what it's worth my friend's brother has an intake set up just like mine on his SRT-4, and that thing pushes some serious numbers when it comes to HP to the wheels. no engine damage there.
