i was looking at this and it says "improved head gasket combination that would decompress the motor to reduce the compression ratio and enable higher boost levels to be run."

How does it decompress it? i guess i really don't see how this works? anyone please help out a NOOB???

 

It's thicker than stock. This makes the head further away from the piston. This creates more room in the combustion chamber, so therefore the air/fuel are compressed less than stock.

Hence, decompression. Got it?
