Stroker Kits

I've been helping my friend out with his stroker kit for his 4g63-T,
and i was wondering does anybody make it for our lancers??

I was going to e-mail/call AMS and see if they would do something like that if we can get enough people to buy?

Really doubt it... To double check though, a normal stroker kit usually comes with an upgraded crank shaft right? Never heard or seen of one for the G94. Of course, the usual pistons and rods are available. And even camshafts...

There will be no stroker kit. The 4G94 is stroked to the limit. It's just a stroked 4G93....

even if you could do a stroker kit it wouldnt be worth it in terms of power vs gain

Supposibly the machine shop here told me that eagle was making a stroker kit for our cars. last time i talked to him he said that it would be available november and that was last year. I will try and go ask him about it and see what he says.

Supposibly isn't a real word, and I'm willing to bet the stroker isn't real either.

The 4g94 is already an overbored and overstroked version of the 4g93. I think it's highly unlikely that this kit will materialize, and even if it doubt, like handmemyarms said, I don't think the gains could justify the cost.

Personally I would rather de-stroke the 94 back to the 1.8 93(I believe) and then slap a turbo on it, allowing more boost and/or better daily if not as much boost.

A decompression gasket would be MUCH cheaper and easier...

i remember that idea thrown around when the lancer first came out. i personally wouldn't do it cuz the only real difference between the g93 and g94 is the stroke(6.8mm longer). the difference in bore is .5mm (81mm vs 81.5mm). so if you're gonna throw a g93 crank in there, you might as well get the whole engine, overbore it, and throw a decompression gasket on that. not worth it IMO.

youd get more gains from common mods, simple as that
