Since you are already worried about your timing why not get something to control it? Greddy Emanage will work for sure.

I don't want to do that since I already have S-AFCII. That's few hundred right there ($maybe 600 with everything). I rather put $200-300 more and get stand-alone from A2.

Gregivg: Since you are using 10.5:1 pistons, what octane are you using and do you have anything to control the ecu?

I'm running high compression 10:1 and tuned with my S-AFC2 for 89. No knock, and I'm tuning with a wideband at about 12.7 across the board.

Thanks for info. What kind of gains did you get after those? So I'm thinking if I can go with 11.0-1 and my S-AFCII. If you have no knock with 10.0-1 and 89 octane and other guy with 10.5-1 and 91 octane (I think), I sould be fine with 93 octane.

I use 93 with 10.5:1 pistons with A/F at about 13.1 It's not completely tuned...well not at all but that's what I was running on my first dyno and no knock.

When you went to the dyno, did they tune your hks controller? In your opinion, is it worth getting them? And what's your current power?

They didn't tune anything, I didn't pay them for that But I adjusted the ratio a bit when A/F was getting leaner than 13.1 I followed all the directions Boeturbolancer gave me.
HKS controller is really cool, I like it a lot but I need to get a wideband gauge or get on a dyno again. And I have no idea what my current power is.

Sorry I ask the question wrong. Was it worth getting the pistons? How did you tune HKS without the wideband? You should hit the dyno with it and get the max hp possible.

When I was on the dyno I saw where my AF was getting leaner than 13.1 and then I added some fuel. Was it worth getting the pistons...ehhh I'm not sure. Sure it's fun to be faster than most lancers with N/A mods but if I'd have to go back I would get other mods before the pistons and then see if I still would want to play with the Lancer. Now I want a new car so I kind of regret spending all that money.

If I were you, I would do all the other mods first.

I think I already have all other parts. That's why I'm trying to hit the pistons. I wish to get some kind of ecu reflash. I don't understand why rrm is not making them for 4g93 ecu. Or if I would be sure that I can hook it up and then tune it to my needs.

WORKS offers a reflash for the 4G94 ECU, so that's an option. A dyno tune using something like an S-AFC or an emanage is also a possibility or go full standalone.
