Motor Mounts

I have seen them at RRM. I was curious if they are needed for an eventual turbo install? Anybody have any more info on them or have them on your own car?

This is something that has many many threads.
Use the Search function ("motor mounts").

like SLVEROZ_03 said is it a need? no, but it helps a lot from my experience.

I didnt buy any i just followed RRMs guide to filling the stock ones, and i only did the front one. With that said i used to run from 15.0 to 15.5s at the 1/4ml track on a good day, after the mount i ran 14.9s all day, and my fastest 14.6 just recently, so i highly recommend it if your going turbo.

It definitely does help.

I will warn you - getting both front and rear in the stiff (Deyeme, not RRM) was really abrasive. When the A/C was on, I thought the car would shake apart. I don't know how stiff RRM makes theirs, though.

I was very happy with the Deyeme ones (price, quality, ease of ordering).
RRM is a solid company, so I can't fault them either.

RRM is $150 for both, Deyeme sells them individually for $70.

Personally, I'd just order the front one from Deyeme. Install that and see how you like it. If you decide you need the rear as well, then go and order that one.

(Personal history - when I had both front and rear of the Deyeme firm mounts installed, I kind of felt like it was overkill. The car was very harsh and vibrated a lot. But that's just how I saw it. If I had to do it again, I'd probably start with the firm front from Deyeme. If I wanted to do the rear, I'd get that one in the flex version.)

For those that bought Deyeme mounts: what kind of hardness did you pick? Flex or Firm? What's the difference?

I went firm. Go big or go home.

I don't know if anyone has tried both to compare.
