What intake is the best you get for your money???
Well now that I just received my exhaust I'm going to get my intake and I'm wondering which intake of these 3 are the best for the amount of money you pay.
RMR intake system with heat shield
Weapon R Dragon Intake
Injen Technology Cold Air Intake
Personally, I'd avoid a foam-filter element like the Weapon R (have heard only bad things) and the RMR one for what you get is to pricey. I'd honestly say get the RRM (RoadRace Motorsports) one. Cheap and easy. Plus they're gonna offer a carbon fiber heat shield. Snazzy and useful! Personally though, I'm probably gonna save for the Injen. By the way...welcome!

Happy with Road/Race intake. Same as RMR minus the heat shield and cheaper. I would like to see numbers on all of the intakes to really decide best. Any of them will help performance. How much do you want to spend is your problem. Have not seen Weapon R yet.
I have the Injen intake and personally i think it was completly worth the $225 i paid for it... the added hp is noticeable, and the sound is awesome! I have heard the the foam in the dragon intakes degrades pretty fast and gets annoying to keep having to replace.
To tell you the truth (from review alone) I think the RRM short ram is the best balance of performance for money. The heat shield to go with it (which would make it essentially the same as the RMR) is slated to come out in the not too distant future if you feel you need it. I went Injen myself but, like I said in another post, I'm not installing till my first service is done. By then I'll probably have a cat back to go with it.

rmr intake has a heat shield, k&n conical filter, and mounting brackets, I think one thing that people are forgetting when talking about RMR parts is that they void nothing, warranty wise, to me it was worth the extra 25 bucks, plus RRM may be charging for the seperate heat shield which would bring the price up to equal or above the RMR intake..
Injen is probably the best performance though

id have to agree and say that the rmr might be worth your money since its 170 all together and it made a deffinate increase in power. The installation was easy and the sound is good....while id like to say the injen would have better pefromance, theres only so much power you can get from intake and for the proce of injen, i wouldnt say its worth it.
Road/Race is same as RMR, $99 minus the shield. Is that OK?
Just curious.

I think it's cool that there's a cheaper option without the heat shield, instead of both companies selling the same product, but for the extra price you get shield and warranty with Rhys, my justification for buying RMR on this one....
Rock, any chance RRM is working on pistons and other internals?, can't wait to order a throttle body

im not putting road/race down at all, i just think that with the extra large cone and heat shield and warranty it is worth the price.
on another note i think the lancer could definately benefit with some better cams and camgears which i would definately invest my money in.

If you are serious about pistons etc... We can have them made. No real demand though. Hard to gauge people, most are concerned with warranty stuff. Pistons might void warranty.
