LOL Ya I would think they should. However I have seen them not do things that they not only should do but are supposed to do ha. Just being lazy and it costs them sometimes but what are ya gonna do right?

 

as far as i kinow i have a 03 lancer es too and well my sensor '' service engine soon " is always on - due that my egr value is dirty i have the comp. scanned it and well that the code gave me at first i thought it was my 02 sensor but nope it was my egr value . all i need to do is clean it w/ carb cleaner plus u have a extra from my old motor

As far as I know. I'll check when I get to work tomorrow (if I don't forget......), but feel free to call the dealership and ask. They should be able to tell just from your VIN.

 

i just called tha dealership and they told me there was no recall on the warm-up cat.

 

how do you clean the EGR valve?

 

Add a sparkplug anti-fouler onto your second O2 and you should be good for the warm up cat. This is how I fixed mine.
