Car stalling after K&N, HELP PLEASE

I installed a new K&N cylinder type air filter and removed the old air box today. SInce then the car idles low and has stalled out at stops.

Does resetting the CPU fix this? And if so, is it just a matter of pulling the positive battery terminal, and then reinstalling it?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

NOTE: If I put the A/C on, it forces the car to up the RPMs by about 200 (as usual) which keeps it from stalling or having the idle too low)

NOTE: I also started the "big 3" upgrade and got both the engine block to chassis ground, and the battery negative to chassis ground done. Both with 4g wire, and all connections were wire brushed and clean.

Ideas ??

on our cars re-flashing the ecu fixes that problem. It's common since the MAF is seeing more air than the computer was tuned for. The ecu dumps more fuel for the added air. Pulling your negative terminal for a couple minutes couldn't hurt, but it may not be the solution.

p-ville?....as in pottsville? Yuengling capital of the world....haha (i'm from pittsburgh originally)

Reset the ECU. IE unplug the battery for a few.

Then start the car and let it idle for about 5 minutes.

You should be good.

Phoenixville.... But yeah Im a big fan of the Yuengling. Great beer.

I'll try completely disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting and idling it for a few minutes as suggested. Thanks guys

My 02 OZ did this when I put my cold air intake on. It just takes a while for the computer to adjust. Don't reset the computer, it will just take longer for it to learn that it's getting more air and to adjust. It took my car about 200-300 miles before it learned. Just give it some time

200-300 miles?? wow.

I drove mine around for a while yesterday and probably did about 70 miles worth of driving for some errands. Seems to be good now reguardless of what accessories may or may not be running. It also has a nice growl at about 4K rpms and noticeably more power. I was surprised by that. Didnt think I'd actually feel a difference from it, but it does pull harder at WOT from 3500 +
