Glad to hear RRM will keep making mods for the Lancers.
152hp does sound weak for a 20k car, does anyone who has owned a quick car in the past regret buying the Lancer or would you say it's a quick car?
Will mods like intake and exhaust increase HP nicely?
Lastly if I trade in my 02 and do like a 3k down payment how much would my monthly payment be approximately?

I would love to buy this car sometime next year but right now my job suxxors and my Lancer will soon have 60k miles on it, but I would love to buy another Lancer!!

there is nothing on the website about the 08' GTS, or unless im missing something. If there is can you send me a link to it. and how about the prices, for an intake and exhaust? will they be expensive? give me a guess

yea the GTS laggs in HP. I had a 2001 audi s4, bi-turbo v-6 with 250 horses stock. that thing pulled like crazy, and i would own tons of cars. but i like how the lancer is a 2.0 L, like the evo. If we would put a turbo in this car it would be crazy fast!! just like an EVO. i mean sure it lags in HP, but the new GTI has 200 HP with a turbo. LOL if we put a turbo in the GTS it would have wayyyyyyy more HP. SO its fast for being a 2.0 L without a turbo or stock. Its a great car and if people tune this thing it will OWN!!!

 

RRM hasnt put there products on the market yet should be anothere week or two as far as prices go RRM isnt out to rip people off they are very reasonable on there prices and there product are researched and manufactured just for our cars

No not yet they havent even opened the block yet it will at least be 6 months to a year for that plus you have to do some mods before u could even think about doing Forced Induction. 1st mods will be something like this clutch, LSD, intake, exhuast, motor mounts, cams, under pully gear, ECU flash or piggy back, front and rear strut bars, sway bar, springs, short shift kit, and that is just performance not including any body kits or motor dress up kits or interior upgrades. Be patient on the turbo it wont be out for awhile we are lucky to get any mods in the first 3-4 months of the new lancer being out if it wasnt for RRM we wonldnt see any for the first 5-6 months so get what mods u can for now and see what mods u would need on your car before putting a turbo on

I autocross so I'm only after 200HP- NA guys, will it be possible with this new model? I saw a few threads mention reflash or piggyback system. Any insight this early in the game?

 

Yeah that is what is keeping me from buying one at the moment. I love the new design of the car and I think it is very sharp looking, but it's whats under the hood that worries me. 152hp...crank


I'm looking at the 2007 outlander at the moment not as sharp as the 2008 lancer but at least it's got some mustard under the hood 220hp crank.

^^how is your car loud? did you put any aftermarket products in it? cause imo i think the stock 2008 lancer gts is pretty quiet.

 

yea how is yours loud? you prolly took everything off of it didnt ya? i unbolted the muffler to see what it sounded like and it was quiet as s**t btu that will end as soon as RRM comes out with a exhaust system.

Well u see there is a problem with this 152HP rating. The 2004 RA had like 172 Hp crank and was putting down like 132 wheel HP. Now then there is a dyno sheet on the ES on this web site called (test drove 2008 lancer ES)and the thing was putting down like 142 Wheel HP and they said that the 152 HP rating was lowwer then what it really is. There is now way you are only losing 10HP from crank to wheel . So dont go by this rating I had a 04RA and this car feels faster then my old RA and it turns better for dam sure
