Yea ill probally never need the warranty since this car is for fun only. I heard the same cvt will be an option on the evo x if thats true im shure it can handle alot of power. If the Gts cant handle over 300hp its shouldnt look so nice lol, every car that lines up at the light tries to race and even some behind it. I already added some wheels that match the black on my lancer so it even has the evo mr drivers here jealous already.

I will ofcoarse do the basic upgrades like intake and exhaust 1st im waiting patiently for them, but im kinda wanting to go strait to a turbo setup but i need to know if i should increase the exhaust size or if the stock size could handle the boost.

 

The EVO isnt getting the CVT it is going to have the AVT/sst two totaly different trannys. I wouldnt want to be the first to mod a CVT. Hell I wouldnt want to be the first on the AVT eithere. But someone is going to have to be the first not me tho I purchased a 5 speed. Who knows the CVT may be a beast we will just have to wait and find out. So who is putting there hand in the bee's nest first?I am chomping at the bit to see the new 08 RRM web site. Would love to see the new hood on a GTS.


DSR:O and I have a question what did they do about the little air sensors on your rims. Did they swap to new rim? And what size/kind rims and tires?

 

Dealership wanted $400 to swap to new wheels. Warning light isnt that annoying yet. Wheels were off a 94 Eclipse that had a bad engine swap so it didnt need them. So the tires are a little thin there 235/45 i think and the wheels are 18" ADR Design with black finish. Not a very expensive set but they match perfect. Glad the new Lancer has the same lug pattern as the Eclipse.

A carbon hood would be cool. Ill let you know at what HP my CVT explodes lol.

 

There is bound to be some lancer enthusiast with too much money and hook ups at a dealership that will screw with the CVT till it goes boom.

If that happens they will either:
A. buy a new one or
B. Have a lot of friends at a dealership able to get them a replacement through warranty.

We just have to wait for our sugar daddy(possibly momma, that would be sexy) enthusiast to make themself known and start tinkering. Let the search for rich people with nothing better to do begin!

This is what it states for the intake, Auto and Manual Tranny... so does this mean the intake is not usable or recommended for the CVT? or do you consider the CVT Automatic?

 

awesome! great job on the site. working on any interior/exterior pieces? i'd like to see a CF trunk to go along with the hood.

 

I just noticed on your site that the intake will drop a full second off the 0-60 times. is this really true? if so, that is amazing. I would definitely be interested in the intake.
