So far, intake and exhaust are working out well. We plan to do a few more things and then maybe do a dyno of it.

Which model did you get Rock? The black mirrors and no lip, I'm assuming the base model? It looks hot from the front still. Can't wait to see how this engine takes to minor bolt-ons.

Most likely it's the ES, cuz the GTS has a very sexy lip

It is the base. It will be fine for most of our R & D purposes for now. Plus it is a manual, so......... but I heard today, we might get aa GTS also.

One of the first things coming in my mind its: it will be a drum to disc conversion brake kit from RRM for the new lancer ES? hope so.

Rock do u think the new CVT could handle a turbo kit? i ask this because here in mex i heard some **** about de DSG´s from VW, some of them blow off only with a repro... thats why many guys are planning to get a standard tranny instead of a CVT.

note: sorry if my english is awful but... give a chance. =)

Greetings from mex city.

We beleivethe CVT will hold up to another 150 h.p. I have spoken to TECHs at Mitsu and they indicate it is strong. Guess we will all see soon.

This summer i might be finally heading out to california, and if i do i would love to go see the Mecca of lancer performance! I'm glad you guys are continuing on with the lancer. This may sound a bit weird, but the thought of RRM upgrades and customer support makes me consider another mitsu over a lot of other new cars in the price range.

Rob, I'm really interested in how the car handles. is it stiffer, steering more responsive? i saw the front strut bar under the hood of a gts, does the de have that as well? any suspension mods in the making? our old lancers seem to love suspension upgrades

I wish I could head out there and see what they do, it would make me a happy panda (threw in a South Park comment, lol) I can't wait until my new lancer comes in, I think I'm going to custom make my own short ram, which I'm sure others wil do also.

I'm curious to see how much can be gained by trashing that bulky stock muffler. I imagine a SRI will do wonders for it, too.
