Question 4G63 Head

Ok, I look at this forum all the time, ive had my lancer for a little over 1 year now. I finally realize that i need boost, but i really dont want to boot this sohc... would it be physically possible to make it DOHC.. just by getting a 4G63 head.. and if i could'nt.. how would i go about making it turbo, w/o reading turbo's for dummies. I mean, Could i possibly get an exhaust flange and weld it on. All i need is a darn manifold to get me started.. the rest i can do myself... thx for the input.

*Yawn* I hope I didnt imply that i thought i needed a DOHC to make my car TURBO, thats totally irrelevant. First off, I was asking if it was possible to match a DOHC head to the SOHC block, but ty, you gave me an answer. On the other hand, I sure as hell arent going to shell out that much money for a turbo kit, that is pre fabbed... that i can put together myself for a heck of alot cheaper i was just asking a simple question.

I've heard that there is a DOHC head for th 4G9 series that was sold in Taiwan I think? But apparently, they're very hard, if possible, to find. Sounds like your best bet for power right now is gonna be the turbo and I'll bet if you don't want the whole kit, you can get just the exhaust flanges that RRM uses. I don't know what turbo you're intending to use in a custom setup, but I'm pretty sure I've heard references to RRM having flanges for both the T28 and T25... so best of luck.
