Why does your exhaust hang down so much lower than showtime's?

I believe showtime's is an earlier version of the exhaust, also with a different tip. But yeah it does look like its hanging lower than it should .

Only difference should be that the newer version is painted and has a different tip, but should identical otherwise, so the fitment baffles me.

We elected to lower it for production to make sure we did not make the fatal GREDDY MISTAKE of burning Lancer bumpers back in the day.

Isn't the cf shield you sell supposed to prevent that?

Hanging too low makes it look like crap . I bended the hangers on mine to have it sit at about 1/2 inch from the bumper and so far (3 months ) and no burning whats so ever .

Just want to thank everyone for the good input on the exhaust, i think it convinced me to purchase it. I was worried cause my wife hated my old car because of how loud that was but I think I might be able to disguise this one enough since it doesnt seem to be that loud just a better tone. Hopefully RRM keeps the parts coming.

The actual overnighted me the carbon grille and intake for the 2.4L yesterday and I will be installing them today.

great job RRM

no... that CF "shield" prevents exhaust soot from staining the paint above the exhaust. It is NOT a thermal barrier (I.E. it is NOT a Heat Shield) between the exhaust and bumper....
