Why I pay attention to my driving on the freeway, I can get it to 35/MPG. I have a manual and I go ~70 and just barely touch the throttle.

But throw in street driving and everything and I average overall ~26/MPG

well, I drove for just about 300 miles.. combined city/highway.. and the car took 11 gallons.... 300/11 = 27.27 mpg... pretty good I think..

You never know. One tank on my 02 Lancer, I got 37mpg because it was 100% highway. It's all about how you drive and how things go.

Do you guys know the MIVEC changeover point yet? That's the trick to MIVEC engines. To get the best MPG, cruise with the RPMs just below where MIVEC engages. On Ralliarts, there's a 5-6 MPG different between cruising at 3400 rpm (73ish MPH) and 3500 rpm (76ish MPH). I certainly believe the 35mpg claim, based on his speed.

My driving (60%c40%h) has garnered me 31.4 mpg at this morning's fillup. I'm quite pleased; it's better than both my Impala and the Focus.

I drive from Costa Mesa to Sacramento a lot....and I mean a lot.

I spent about 5 minutes on streets and the rest was freeway, so yes it is possible. Not normal, but possible

Ive had mine about the same, I actually just got my plates and pink slip in the mail today. Ive only done the drive once with this car and Im at ~2000 miles, but with all the runs Ive done total Id say Ive put over 30,000 on cars from it.
