Last night me and a buddy of mine were putting on my new throttle body and intake mani. We got everything hooked up and plugged in everything was running smooth. We started the car it started right up i was eccited it seemed that we did everything correct. Let it run for a good ten min, took a drive around the bolck and then we came to a red light went to stop and just died. ARRGGHHH!!
Didnt know what to do pushed it off to the side and popped the hood. didnt see anything at first kept trying to start it, Didnt though. well after closer inspection my buddy saw that my SRI filter was dripping OIL!!!!. dont know what we did. please someone help us and tell us what we did.

i think i read a similar post before, and you were suppose to clean the intake mani of all oil and grime first before instillation...but i could be wrong..idk...i guess you can take it off, clean thorolly or let car dry first, and try to start again.... bump for help
i dont think that was the issue it wasnt just a little oil resadue from the intake. it was like alot of oil just bieng brown into the intake. could i have maybe have flip flooped the lines on the throttle body. or the intake?
Check all the lines, check the plugs and then double check your lines again. If those are all ok and the car still doesn't run, check the idle screw on the TB. If that's fine, you might be following in my shoes and rebuilding your engine. I broke 4 valves and melted my pistons because of a botched intake mani install.
i dont think that would be the prblem cause like i said i drove it around for like ten to 20 min. so i dont think thats the issue. and if i melted to pistons and there wasnt enough heat to blow the valves. so anymore ideas guys. im not trying to be an *** i just dont wanna think that is the problem. PLEASE GOD dont be the problem!!!

oh so you had the same issues?! damn man dont tell me that. well im going to swap out the plugs first im hoping maybe they got some oil on them so they might be misfiring. but we will see. if thats the case. ill put all the original parts back on and have mitsubishi come and fix that *****. ITS STILL UNDER WARRENTY!!! so thats a plus if i cant figure it out ill have them take care of it and then try again. do you know if headers and a pulley would void the warranty?
If you have any mods on, they will void the warranty if the engine is fried. Also, don't pretend they're stupid, they'll know if you fiddled with the manifold and they sure as hell won't be pleased you tried to pull a fast one on them. Best bet is to be honest, otherwise you could be without a car for weeks while they hunt for the problem (how are they going to diagnose the problem if you can't tell them the truth?) or get stuck with a massive bill.
even with just the pulley and the headers? thats really gay. well if it comes to it i might just to a engine swap and be done with it. i mean if its going to cost as much to fix it as it will to put a new engine in it i might as well
