I'm experiencing a similar issue, and I've found a bit of water in the airbox. So I think that may have been the issue with the MAF. The engine behaves a lot like it does when the MAF is disconnected. I can get it started after alot of struggle, and it will hold at 1500 rpm for a bit then start reving up very slowly to about 3k holding there very very roughly. That's with it floored. I'm going to try and clean the maf and see if that helps. Can you just spray carb cleaner on there and let it dry or is there something special you shoud do?
