throttle cable got stuck?

i'm not really sure what happened earlier but my car started revvin up on it's own after i had already let off the gas pedal. as soon as i hit boost, it just kept goin up to the rev limiter. while it was doin that, i tapped the pedal for a second and it stopped. im not sure what caused this but does anyone know what im talkin about?

Its most likely the throttle. This happened to one of my co-workers. He had to shut his car off.

check your floor mats. this happened to me once and it was because my mat slid to far forward and the pedal kept catching it.

well i tightened the throttle cable to make sure it wont happen again. it was loose but i still left a little bit of slack, so not too tight.

A dead pedal is actually not a pedal. It's the spot to the left of your clutch (or brake pedal if you're an auto) where your left foot rests. Some aftermarket pedal kits come with a dead pedal so that it will match your working pedals.
