Engine miss question

Ok im a noob

anyway i have an 03 lancer es...it has and injen cai, rrm piggyback v2, rrm header, 2.75 inch exhaust from the flexpipe back...yes i know its too big...i got a zex wet nitrous kit which i dont use anymore...lowering springs...yes my shocks are shot now... i just need to know if my o2 sensor might be the culprit, my engine is missing, the exhaust pops and the headers glow...and it heats up in about 1-2 mins in the morning.mind you as soon as i leave in the morning the car feels like a rocket..but once it heats up it feels like a slug as if the clutch is red hot and doesnt want to grab....can the o2 sensor be bad? or what...i know my exhaust is too big i just wanna get some opinions

Sounds like you have more issues that just the O2...how many pull on the nitro did you use before deciding it's a no go?

First, I'd like you check the engines compression...the head gasket might be toast causing you to overheat or act like a "slug".

Good luck!

It could be your O2 sensor. When the engine is cold the ecu runs in open loop relying on a preprogramed setup. After warmup it goes to closed loop running off of the information sent by several inputs including the O2 sensor. This could cause a rich setting cousing the exhauste poping (When unburnt fuel hits the atmosphere it adds the needed oxygen to complete the burn causing the popping sound). On the other hand if it was the O2 sensor it should through a code causing the CEL to illuminate.
Is your CEL on?

It could also just be a fauled plug causing the miss and the rich A/F mixture. How long has it been seince your last tune up? If the plugs look bad I would try Iridium plugs (Denso or NGK, I prefer Denso), also check the wires and coils.
