I am planing to get a K&N air filter for my ES to get a little performance improvement. Has anyone replaced the stock one? If yes, could you tell me where I could buy it? Show me a website or a model# please. Thx in advance!

ive replaced the intake filter that came with the rrm sri with a knn filter today...n i it felt like i lost power...it sounds great tho...but yea kinda sad about the power loss

Yes. The only idea available to you is "keep waiting."

K&N does not make a 2008 filter yet. All they list on their website is the oil filter. So right now, all you can do is keep waiting for buy an SRI.

Hopefully soon. I know K&N has had a few Lancers in for parts testing in the last couple weeks.

Grab the OEM part number of the stock AF and do a cross reference...there's probably universals from a few companies that will fit. Mitsubishi also tends to use the same parts across most of their models, so there's always that route too. There are some replacement parts from my old Galant VR4 that would fit my 08.

 

I haven't found any yet. Not even K&N (even using the measurements).

 

Yea, I actually requested to be notfied when a product for the 2008 lancer would come out and I received an email saying the replacement filter was available. It actually says that all the filters for 2.0 L lancers are the same. It says the 2007 lancer evolution will fit, I havn't tried though. Here's the email:

Same as in the 2007 Outlander, so you could use the 07 Outlander to search around for one if out 08 Lancer isn't listed on the sites you visit.

 

Edit - aren't you concerned that it doesn't actually list the 2008 in the application list? That bothers me. The K&N site makes no mention of the 33-2105 fitting the 2008. Saying it will fit "all 2.0L Lancers" doesn't help much when that covers the 4G64, the 4G94 and now the 4B11... Personally, I'm going to not believe it until I see some proof.
