I have a problem with my Magnaflow catback exhaust. I noticed driving to work this morning that my car got louder than it usually does. So I arrived to work and looked under the hood and saw nothing wrong. I just went out during my lunch break and saw something hanging from the car. Well, the hanger that connects from the pipe to underneath the car fell off. It looks as if the part the connects to the pipe had so much rust it broke so now I have a nice hole in my piping!

The exhaust system is only about 3 1/2 years old. Has this happened to anyone else before? Do any auto shops carry Magnaflow, like midas? Would it be possible to fix this without a new system?

 

Yes, a shop can weld a "plate" over the hole to fix it and re-hang it. But the new exhaust is also an option!

Easily fixed.

Hit up Midas or your exhaust shop of choice. Should be quick, easy and cheap.

 

I never got around to giving an update on this, it was fixed same day....

Midas patched it up real nice. Didn't take long and it only cost about $80. Thanks for the help guys.
