To anyone that has bought this exhaust how well do you notice the promised gains, cause i am leaning toward this exhaust over the RRM.

I just put this exhaust on and it rocks !!! It doesnt have that rice rocket sound and its a deep manly sound. I have it with the RRM intake and I have noticed a huge gain in power, the back feels lighter and doesnt attract alot of attention. This weekend I plan to finish my upgrade and put in the RRM pulley and RRM piggyback chip. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

The only way to notice any gains is to dyno your car before the exhaust and after.

You notice a huge gain in power. Care to share your dyno sheets?

likely just a 'butt dyno'

A very likely case (assuming no dynos were done) is the fact that he put new parts on has psychologically made him believe his car is that much faster even though it isn't.

Not saying they don't give great power gains or anything. Just saying that this has been a common case for many people. It's almost like the placebo affect... just here you actually get something... just probably not as much as you'd hope for.

Now directly on topic... Through my reads... I don't think any of the NA parts for our lancer is showing anything even CLOSE to "huge power gains". but i could be wrong...

I havent done any dynos myself, but before I modified my car I couldnt beat my friends RSX-S. Now, I smoke him with Injen CAI, RRM Pulley/Headers/Springs, Works AB/Short Shifter. I was heading to the track last night to see if I could run a better time than my 16 sec 1/4 stock, but it decided to rain its ***** off.

I'm finally starting to seriously consider an exhaust now... this seems to be my number 1 at the moment... cheapest and seems to have the nicest tone..
(comparing RRM, Works, and Greddy Ti-C)

Greddy has a steep price...
RRM doesnt seem to have the right sound to me (fromt he video clips but again, those don't do justice to it) Also the tip looks pretty much like stock... want something at least a bit different.

Only thing im concerned about is how loud it is. I took about 80minutes to read through this entire thread... and many say its too loud.. many say its not that loud... can anyone give an approximate comparison to the stock? perhaps like... "its 3x louder than stock" or w/e....

Also, anyone in Canada who bought this... doesn't this go against highway traffic acts? i think it was blacksheep or evo soul who mentioned this... but....

Mufflers
46(1) A motor vehicle propelled by an internal combustion engine
shall be equipped with an exhaust muffler consisting of a series of
pipes or chambers which ensures that the exhaust gases from the
engine are cooled and expelled without excessive noise and without
the emission of any flame or sparks.
(2) No person shall drive or operate a motor vehicle propelled by
an internal combustion engine when the muffler with which the
vehicle is equipped is cut out or disconnected from the engine.

(3) No person shall drive or operate a motor vehicle propelled by
an internal combustion engine equipped with a muffler from which
has been removed a baffle-plate or other part.

(4) No person shall drive or operate a motor vehicle propelled by
an internal combustion engine equipped with a muffler, the exhaust
outlet of which has been opened or widened.
(5) No person shall drive or operate a motor vehicle propelled by
an internal combustion engine equipped with a muffler or exhaust
system to which is attached any device which increases the noise of
the expulsion of the gases from the engine or allows a flame to be
ignited from the exhaust system.
(6) This section does not apply to a school bus having a capacity
of 24 or more passengers.

So to sum it up...
Just wondering if this exhaust is within the traffic act?
How much louder than stock is this? (approximate comparison if possible. ie) 3x louder than stock)

Thanks ^_^
