I'd rather have a nice deep tone sound, and not a ricey and way to loud where your ears hurt sound. I wouldn't give up 10HP, but there's some people out there that prefer to have a better sounding car and maybe lose 2-5HP then gain an extra 5HP and have it sound like complete crap.

Once vendors start carrying the parts you want, you'll see good prices. Right now, it's a crapshoot finding who has which parts. That's the real problem.

For example (again), the vendor I usually go through for stuff doesn't offer the Magnaflow at this time. But I'm sure if I/you looked around enough, we'd find someone who did sell it. And it would probably be at a decent price.

PZEVs have two cats: a precat and a main cat.

I agree with that. And yes you're right, but I was stating that until some more parts and vendors start coming into play, then some things (not all) will be not expensive, but a little pricey for some people. I'm happy with my custom exhaust, don't get me wrong. At the time I got it done, there was no exhausts yet being spoken of to be made. So whether I lost performance or not isn't the point. I just like the way it sounds, and I only cost me $150 to mount it and all. I guess it's all up to your taste, and how much money you're willing to spend. I'm not rich, and mom and dad don't help out me out either, so I'm paying for everything myself, which sucks btw

I'm guessing this exhaust system voids the warranty? :[

^^^ if it replaces the cat, then yes it'll void the warranty ******* if they can link any issues with the car to your exhaust mod******* if it doesnt touch the catalytic converter then you are all good, and not even the big bad men of 's service department can touch you

I would buy an exhaust if it really made a difference with my 8.7Sec CVT car!

Then you better find an exhaust with a turbocharger attached.

eh... you could have a good muffler shop ~build~ a cat back system using the mufflers and tube size of your choice with labor included for that price...
