i got mine directly from them, like 3 years ago, lol if i can find it I will give you one of my red ones, lol to be honest, I think they are no different then a 2 dollar DO-RAG for the head. lol
rontam (TLC member) told me that if you accidentally run into a puddle of water or snow, the intake will suck in the water to ur engine and ur engine will be GG.
i dun wanna risk it

It's not if you drive over a puddle. It's if you drive your car INTO a puddle. For anything to go wrong with your motor, the CAI filter (and pretty much everything below your bumpers) would have to be underwater. Pretty rare.
Now, driving through rain and slush will seriously crud up your filter, which is going to hurt airflow through it. But that's different.

at least i dont have to worry THAT much about it. but i guess buyin a hydroshield is still better than not having one at all right?
yeah i would totally get a hydroshield if i was to get a cold air intake. i used to have one on my eclipse and the filter would quickly get covered in stuff and rust from the water that got on it so that kinda got me away from getting one on my 08. im just going to wait for the RRM V2 to come out and get that. but if your getting the injen CAI then def get the hydroshield and personally i would wash it weekly or monthly just to keep the dirt off of it so it flows better.

Go to www.speedcorps.com for the injen intake and hydroshield
Yes, it's definitely better than not having one. One slushy Winter day, I majorly f***ed up my CAI filter. By the time I got home, it had a 1/2 inch layer of ice on it. Luckily, it was a cleanable filter, so I didn't have to replace it.
