What Oil Filter?

Going to do my first oil change but I was wondering what a good oil filter would be?

Don't use filters, they are crap! There's a huge thread on this with pics. I use filters from Pep-Boys, I think they are called ProLine and they are like $1.99

Edit: here's a link to that thread! https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ht=oil+filters

genuine filters

I used a "Fram" hi-performance filter or whatever. Cost like 4 bucks ... i got me a good 7-8 hp from it! :P (not really)

anything is an improvement over stock :P Just make sure it was made for our car.

Fram is the largest producer of oil filters in the world. A lot of the OEM oil filters from different companies are fram filters with their name on it (for example, ford, GM, dodge....) What company do you think is so much better than Fram? Just curious...... and you can't say K&N!

But how discolored/dirty is the oil itself? A clean filter can mean it's not filtering well and could mean more crap is just staying IN the oil. A dirty filter isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Bosch Filter and Mobil 1 Full Synthetic. Change every 5k. Check your PCV valve at the same time, and run a wire in the overflow for you A/C condensor.
