When was the last time you had your car serviced rbbcustom? they are supposed to do a tune up and change the plugs every 15K i believe.

check out the service dept at your dealer for that info. You probably went too long on those plugs. I know I get a little better gas mileage after every service.

Idle, and accel should be smoother, throttle may be more responsive, but that's about it.

Your plugs looked about normal for putting them too long. I'm not sure of your gap . . . it should be pulled apart a bit.

Not sure on the pics . . . looks oily.

After looking at your plugs had me wondering if the burned porcylin is normal after 15k miles. I ran a 50 shot of nitrous through my car 5 times and my plugs looked like that. I thought the burn was from a seriously lean conditon(High temps). My electrode completely closed on the second cylinder and before I checked I thought I blew a cylinder. I regapped the plug and disconnected the battery for a few minutes to reset the computer. I saw the brown on the plug and changed them with new stock plugs. I sold the juice kit before I had any real problems. Anyway is the burned porcylin normal after 15K miles.

I just installed those plugs today too, Hopefully I will notice a gain in gas mileage cause the prices out here are killing me. I didn't notice any gains, but they again its hard to compete against all the other mods I have. I'm sure stock plugs do the same job. Heres where I bought mine. http://www.ngk.com/results_app.asp?AAIA=1382127

Optimal Lancer gapping according to the manual is .039 to .043.

i have had the desnos since the 3rd week of having my car and i love them, they smoothed out the car a lot and they did give me some noticeable power not a lot but on acceleration the car felt a lil better
