a quick question - header

a quick question - header

ok so i wanna get a header for my lancer but its not smog leagal in alot of states and i wanted to know a) if it its nj (i doubt it is). and b) if it isnt normally if im ok as long as i got a cat converter.

FYI: This has been covered before. A mod will probably come in and ask you to search.

Any aftermarket header for our car removes the warm up cat. You may or may not get a CEL. There's really no way around it because the first cat is built into our OEM header.

But, you can get a CEL eliminator RRM makes one. And most emissions places just do a ODB2 hookup. Check your local emissions laws to verify this.
