so I bought a 2008 lancer es cvt---- I am looking to do some minor mods to it, and I'm looking for suggestions as to what to do to increase performance....I was thinking along the lines of...

exhaust
CAI
tossing in synthetic oil


anything that may be recommended?

also wondering if there is a nicer hood I could add on---a CF would be nice, but im wondering if other model hoods would fit with out any problems? I've seen some evo hoods that look great but im curious if they would fit on without issues?

 

to be honest with you, i see ten times more CVT lancers here than m/t lancers, and some people go all out on their CVT. at the RRM website, they have parts made for both CVT transmission and manual. i say exhaust is the first place you should start. I just got my exhaust last night and it made driving my car 324324 more fun.

 

I saw the rrm video on how to do the install,honestly it looks easy, except that I don't have a car-lift, i'm no mechanic but I am a hands on person and I learn quickly, is it very easy to install just by getting under the car, or is it recommended to find a pit or a lift to get right underneath the car?

 

Use a ramp. That will give you enough room to get under the rear comfortably. The axleback is extremely easy to install. 20 mins tops
